As the Assistant Tender Sales Manager, the role lies in the tendering process for heavy equipment sales. Also, analyzing tender documents, develop competitive proposals, and manage customer relationships.

Major Roles And Responsibilities (Job Details)

Job Description

  • Tender Analysis: Collaborate with the Tender Sales Manager to analyze and assess tender documents, specifications, and requirements. Ensure a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and expectations.
  • Bid Preparation: Assist in the preparation of well-structured and competitive tender proposals. Ensure compliance with all technical, commercial, and legal aspects of the bids.

  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential tenders, opportunities, and market trends within the heavy equipment industry.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and clients involved in the tender process.

  • Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with the sales and business development teams to align tender strategies with the company's objectives and market positioning.

  • Pricing Strategies: Support in the development of pricing strategies that balance competitiveness and profitability, while meeting the company's financial goals.

  • Negotiation: Collaborate in negotiations with clients to secure contracts and favorable terms.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all tender submissions, contracts, and correspondence.

  • Compliance: Ensure that all tender submissions and proposals adhere to relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in tender sales and business development, with a focus on heavy equipment sales.
  • Strong understanding of the tendering process and regulations specific to the heavy equipment division.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and tender management software is an advantage.
