Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Officer to join our IT department. The ideal candidate will provide support for various IT operations and assist in the implementation of new IT systems. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in IT support and infrastructure management within a dynamic organization.

Major Roles And Responsibilities (Job Details)
  • Respond to user requests and provide technical assistance in person, via phone, or electronically.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and escalate problems as required.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop applications and peripherals.
  • Assist in maintaining network infrastructure, including servers, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to network connectivity or slow response times.
  • Support the setup and maintenance of network user accounts and permissions.
  • Aid in the implementation of IT projects under the guidance of senior IT staff.
  • Assist in researching and evaluating new technologies and solutions.
  • Participate in the testing and deployment of software and hardware upgrades.
  • Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Provide basic training to users on new systems or software as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory records of hardware and software.
  • Assist in maintaining IT security protocols and implementing best practices.
  • Support data backup and disaster recovery operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to IT.
